Yay more extra-features packed Arrow-Video Blu-Rays on special-offer! Picked up the following...

Brute Force - Burt Lancaster Prison movie which I've not seen yet
Bound - The "other good movie" the Wachowski's did
Time Bandits - One of the only two Gilliam movies I inexplicably didn't yet own
Buckaroo Banzai - Been waiting for this one to come out!

As with all Arrow releases they come with reverable sleeves with the original poster art. Especially great given the BB poster...

One of my all time faves! A brilliant under rated modern pulp hero adventure. Doc Savage would be proud! :)

It is a shame they never made more adventures. The World Crime League end title card ignited my imagination as a kid!
Oh what could have been..... :D

Recent purchases:

- The Incredible Hulk - Season 1 - 9.96$
- The Flash - Complete Series - 9.88$
- Eight Men Out - 4.88$
- Grey's Anatomy - Season 3 - 10$ used, no tax
- Grey's Anatomy - Season 7 - 19.49$
- Grey's Anatomy - Season 10 - 24.97$
- Mr. Show - Complete Series - 15$
- ER - Season 1 - 15$
- The Busby Berkeley 9-Film Collection - 7.99$
-Sharknado 2 (Blu-Ray) - 3$ at Dollarama lol

The Busby Berkeley 9-Film Collection is a 10-disc, 9 movie box set that contains the following 9 films and a bonus disc.

- 42nd Street
- Gold Diggers Of 1933
- Footlight Parade
- Dames
- Gold Diggers Of 1935
- Gold Diggers Of 1937
- Varsity Show
- Hollywood Hotel
- Gold Diggers In Paris

And I don't know why but some of the DVD's from Quickie, the corner store where I bought this, have a slash running from the top to bottom of the UPC code. Like somebody took an exacto knife or something to slash through it. Except they don't just slash the UPC code, they slash through the damn plastic. And in this case they even slashed onto the bonus disc. It still loads, and only one of the videos I've tested won't play, but seriously! Why not just put a sticker over the UPC code instead of destroying the case and artwork, and in this case a disc?

Sabrina the Teenage witch S1-7 (DVD) - and now I realize I've never seen beyond season 4.
Blade Runner (BR) the version that comes with the little car model a and production booklet and all known cuts of the film. it was £14 in HMV and seemed like a decent deal.

Has that got the Director's Cut on Blu-Ray? If so, would you mind posting a screencap of the Holden/Leon scene. I'm curious how it looks.

The Director's Cut is included. There's 5 cuts in total. Theatrical, Director's, Final Cut, Workprint, and I forget the last one. The only versions not included are the Alternate TV Cut and the Egyptian Theater Screening Cut from 1982.

I just want to know what the colour-timing is like on the DC. I'm 99% sure it will be timed a bit like 'The Final Cut' (As it is on the DVD boxset) and not like the original movie colours but I'd like to check.

I wish I could help you with a screenshot, but I don't have a Blu-Ray drive on my computer. Sorry.

Got quite a few new Blu-Rays recently...

Mr. Turner: Fantastic biopic of the painter. Timothy Spall is of course outstanding with a performance that was mostly just nodding and grunting in a grumpy way. It's divided audiences and I could see why it might have bored some people, as it's long and very slow but in a good way.

American Hustle: Meh. A light-weight Scorsese clone.

Sin City 2: I can also understand why reactions to this were mixed. When Eva Green is on screen it flys, when Jessica Alba is on screen it sucks.

The rest I haven't got round to watching yet...

The Long Goodbye
Branded To Kill / Trapped In Lust
(The second is a porno remake of 'Branded To Kill' :-D)
An Affair To Remember
The Magnificent Seven
Godzilla
(The New One)
Tromeo and Juliet
(Looking forward to this James Gunn penned piece)
M*A*S*H
The Hustler

Fearless on DVD (theatrical). Wow. Just wow. This is an amazing wushu film. The fight choreography, the pride of an ancient nation being won back, and the character's journey from revenge to peace, finally understanding what his father sought to teach him as a child. Brilliant. Then I found out there's a director's cut with an extra 30 minutes expanding the character studies. Ordered and on its way!

I've got some top Blu-Rays for Christmas (Plus a few I've bought in the sales). Some TV series in HD...

Sharpe: The Complete Series - My old DVD edition is going on eBay and it's time to relive the Napoleonic Wars in HD.
Twin Peaks: The Entire Mystery - Never watched more than a few, so it's finally time to soak this whole monster up.
Space 1999: The Complete First Series - Looking foward to watching the precursor to Star wars fully restored.
Thunderbirds: The Complete Series - The US import version in the original aspect-ratio. Glad I waited for this over the botched European Blu-Ray.

...and some movies too...

The Immortal Story - The last available Orson Welles HD release I didn't have in my collection. Just watched it and it looks and sounds gorgeous.
Duck You Sucker/Fistful of Dynamite - Again, this is the last major Leone release I only had on DVD.
Forgotten Silver - A rare Blu-Ray release for Peter Jackson's astounding moc-doc.
The Rocketeer - This has been on my wishlist for ages. Finally the US import came down in price.
Shane - 'Masters of Cinema' release with 3 versions and commentary. Never actually seen this classic.
Videodrome - 'Arrow Video' release with commentary and reversible sleeve.
Chappie - Been waiting patiently for the price to drop on this as I figured it would, given the lukewarm reception this movie got. Bonus, because I loved it!

I've got 3 solid days between family visits and going back to work to get them all watched. Prepare the coffee and popcorn! :-D

Got 'The Beatles 1+' for Xmas. It comes with new mixes of the old '1' CD, I think, plus an extra blu-ray of outtakes/rare videos.
Also ordered 'Grand Prix' - a blind buy for me, but it looks interesting.
