Any chance of a HD or HD-sourced Son of Jor-El?

There certainly is a chance. I have to get over the HD editing hump first though. I'm not going to make my first HD edit out the gate be something as complex as Son of Jor-El

best buy had/has the first bluray dump bin i have seen so i grabbed:

boy in striped pajamas
chasing amy
sling blade
syriana
starship troopers 3
sphere
the wild bunch

i also got [non dump bin]
louie season 1
saving private ryan
dead snow [dvd]

arrived in mail:
the pacific bluray miniseries [uk version - no difference, just cheaper :p]
lord of the rings EE bluray set

So far the only difference I've noticed between SD editing and HD editing is that the latter requires a whole lot more disk space. And I edit in a common laptop so it's not like a super sophisticated Pentagon computer is needed for the task.

grabbed the theatrical lord of the rings bluray set because I found it super cheap on ebay.

finally talked myself into buying apocalypse now full disclosure set as well. wish the uk version wasnt region b locked because its packaging is so much nicer than the us release. its also about half the price.

more cheapos:
the negotiator
raging bull 30th anniversary ed

Ordered the matrix trilogy on blu ray, and am deciding on whether or not to buy the incredibles back on dvd or blu ray, the dvd had some great features. But the UK blu ray release only includes the film disc and none of the features. Considering the price of the film and the cost of the of the US version being double the cost, It might work out cheaper for me to buy both blu ray and DVD from the UK

Just picked up 'GO' for $4 in the check-out line at the grocery store last night.

Latest batch since last post:
Apocalypse Now 3 Disc Collector's Edition Blu Ray
Citizen Kane 2 Disc Collector's Edition
The Return of Godzilla
Godzilla 2000
Smallville season 5
Paranormal Activity (not worth the hype if you ask me)
The A-Team (2010)
Rien à Déclarer (Nothing to Declare)
Superman Anthology Blu Ray (US Version)

I've had a superhero overload:
The Incredibles (American blu ray import)
The Incredible Hulk (partially to prep for Leeroys extended workprint cut)
Super, which only had a small showing in cinemas here, it's already only £6 brand new.

Predator 2 (Bye bye vhs)
Starship Troopers (Bye bye vhs)

Move along, sonny. :)

I'll never retire my 'ol JVC index, only one that ever kept on going, my only complaint is that it isn't stereo equipped.

Have you ever watched Redlettermedia's Half In The Bag? I had a very similar vcr at one point, except the one i had you could take out the actual player, hook up a battery to it and use it for a camcorder, and it was stereo compatible, scared the crap out of me one day when i went to watch Empire and play with Lego's, all of a sudden Yoda starts talking from the other end of the room, wasn't expecting that. And the alarms on the Blockade runner at the start of Star Wars sounded different on that vcr for some reason.

The American
Oceans 11
Oceans 12
Burn After Reading (hopefully got enough Clooney footage now, didnt find up in the air though)

Dune (Old disc unsalvageable)
LOTR: The couple towerses
Stargate: Extended cut

Blu Ray: Akira, Terminator 2 (and I might actually watch the theatrical cut next time I watch this)
DVD: Naruto: movies 3 and 4 mostly for completionist sake.

Superman: The Theatrical Serials Collection
Ruby-Spears Superman
Crazy Heart (Jeff Bridges)
Buried (Ryan Reynolds)

Blade: House of Chthon
Deep Rising
DOA: Dead or Alive (the Jaime Pressly one)
Modigliani
The Fountain
(Those were 5 for €5, so don't look at me like that) :)
