Definitely good to see all the loose ends of the last few films being addressed and hopefully tied up

Looks cool! I loved Casino Royale, and really liked Skyfall in spite of the plot holes, but Spectre looks like it could be amazing.

I notice from the Behind the Scenes video that they're using Film again, which has my stamp of approval--classic filmmaking!

Meh. Combined with Skyfall levels of insane digital-grading, the format it's shot on is meaningless.

But yay, Dave Bautista is gonna be in it. Hopefully one of those OddJob/Jaws type henchmen.

As I've said - this looks to have everything I could possibly want out of it. Well, besides David Arnold returning to do the music. Maybe for Bond 25... But other than that! Looking great. Mister White (and, by extension, Quantum). Secrets from the ruins of Skyfall. Adoption papers, confirming Vesper's analysis of Bond not originally coming from wealth. Burnt photo - a lost sibling? Waltz's character, perhaps? Spectre ring made me all tingly. Waltz at the end of that table, wreathed in shadow. He's more Blofeld than Blofeld ever was.

Fact: Sam Smith has a very impressive vocal range.
Fact: when he juts into his falsetto for no reason other than to show off, Sam Smith's voice is annoying as s***.

As a big fan of Bond songs - a far bigger fan of the songs than the movies, I must say - I can't say I like this one. :(

At least it's not as bad as Die Another Day or Quantum Of Solace's main themes!

Those are two of the worst, right down there with "Moonraker", though I actually really like my 'Redacted' song fan edit of "Another Way to Die". (The) "Writing's on the Wall" is indeed not quite as bad as those, as I kind of like the verses, and the overall orchestration is very nice, but the second section of the chorus sucks, and all that falsetto really annoys. :p

Hmmm, it's not a very good cover-song I think MJ's original had more gusto...

The word is that 'Spectre' is "Fun" and contains "Humour"... surely this can't be true from the same guys that brought us 'Skyfall'? :p I'll find out tomorrow night. Fingers crossed!

Saw Spectre last night. It was better than 'Skyfall' at least.

There was some humour which is a new touch for the Craig era and for what I think is the first time in 10 years Bond is allowed to have one modest Gadget (At least I don't think Craid had one before). The first half ranges from average to tedius but the last half is a proper full-on Bond adventure like we haven't had since 'Goldeneye'. The film is way too long and could do with a good half-hour removed from the middle. Apparently there is time in a Bond movie for a what I believe was a whole minute of silence where nobody says anything, or nothing happens, that scene would have made a great trailer ;-).

Frau Farbissina gets a cameo, I was dying to shout out "Scooootttt!".

Not including the ending credits... the Bond theme isn't used :-(. At several points like when Bond wrestles control of the Helicopter back, when he crashes the plane through a building, or when he escapes on the boat I just started humming the theme in my head to make those moments better.

I liked the whole Bond and team against the establishment angle that they'd borrowed from 'Licence to Kill' although at some point they run out of things for Moneypenny to do.

Christoph Waltz who starred as "The man who definitely isn't Blofeld" was of course fantastic. The best baddie of the Craig era easily IMO.

I finally saw it today and I loved it! Best Daniel Craig bond film so far! It wasn't flawless however, here are some ideas of how to fix it:

-In the PTS, cut Bond shooting the bad guys before using the explosive, now he would use the explosive imminently

-New theme song

-cut scenes when M find out that the 00 program is being scrapped so that we find out at the same time as Bond does.

-fix yellow tint/lighting in Italy scenes

-cut a few lines for pacing.

Also, this film would be very different if they had kept the original ending for Quantum Of Solace (when Bond killed Mr White).

^ Spoiler tags please... and these are solid ideas. I think this is a fanedit away from being a great Bond movie.

I agree! I wonder if anyone else has any more ideas?

I would imagine that somewhere, someone has ideas. It has happened before.

FYI: BBC4 has a Bond night on starting at 8pm, with discussion, documentaries and music.

Will be seeing this on Monday.... should I leave my fanedit hat at the door, or wear it with pride whilst watching it? ;)

Whatever you do, keep your pants on. They'll kick you out of the theater for that. Trust me, I know.
