I've been randomly watching the cosy old James Bond 'making of' mini-docs narrated by Patrick Macnee on youtube e.g.
They are full of juicy gossip, how the amazing stunts were achieved, the casting shuffles, the giant sets, the clever miniatures etc. They really make me want to re-watch all the Bond films and with 8 1/2 months 'til the next in the series ("Bond 25") I wanna do just that in time for it's release in the first week of April 2020.
The schedule is as follows:
Quote:July 2019:
Dr. No (1962)
August 2019:
From Russia with Love (1963)
Goldfinger (1964)
Thunderball (1965)
September 2019:
You Only Live Twice (1967)
On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969)
Diamonds Are Forever (1971)
October 2019:
Live and Let Die (1973)
The Man with the Golden Gun (1974)
The Spy Who Loved Me (1977)
November 2019:
Moonraker (1979)
For Your Eyes Only (1981)
Octopussy (1983)
December 2019:
Never Say McClory Again (1983)
A View to a Kill (1985)
The Living Daylights (1987)
January 2020:
Licence to Kill (1989)
GoldenEye (1995)
Tomorrow Never Dies (1997)
February 2020:
The World Is Not Enough (1999)
Die Another Day (2002)
Casino Royale (2006)
March 2020:
Quantum of Solace (2008)
Skyfall (2012)
Spectre (2015)
April November? 2020:
No Time to Die (2020)
3 per month sounds comfortably achievable. I've included the rival 'Never Say Never Again' movie in the form of Blofelds Cat 's brilliant EON-esque fanedit.
Anybody else up for going on this mission?

I did that a couple of years ago - good times. I'd be all over this if I didn't have my own marathon to finish. Looking forward to reading the reviews.

TM2YC , is Never Say Never Again the only fanedit and all others original? Or is still also an invitation for edit recommendations?
Both ways: this'll be an enjoyable experience!

I'll be re-watching the originals because the flaws are part of the charm and changing tone (but I want to pretend NSNA is an EON film). Others may prefer to explore the fanedits and I recommend:
nostromo777 's edit of For your Eyes Only: https://forums.fanedit.org/showthread.php?tid=15474
and
LastSurvivor 's edit of OHMSS: https://ifdb.fanedit.org/on-her-majesty-...he-ls-cut/
and I've heard musiced921 's Moonraker edit is great: https://ifdb.fanedit.org/moonraker-plot-the/
There are 18 Bond edits listed on ifdb: https://ifdb.fanedit.org/fanedit-search/...ames-bond/
Random thought: Somebody needs to do a campness/seriousness graph, with 'Casino Royale'? as the most serious and 'Moonraker'? as the most camp/kitsch.

I'm not a big bond fan, but I enjoy the odd one. I own a few, which I've been meaning to watch before deciding whether to keep them or get rid of them - so maybe this can be an excuse to do that
Casino Royale and Golden Eye are probably the only ones I've seen that I know I really like. Most I can't really remember.
So I might join for a few of these. There are a number that I haven't seen, which I'd be up for checking out, but it depends on how easily I can access them. Are there many around on Amazon or Netflix?

The Bond films regularly shift around from premium cable channels and streaming sites. Starz/Encore currently are showing the "classic"/pre-Craig films. Check Netflix/Amazon at the beginning of each month as it seems that they only stay a couple of months before they move onto a different service, so whatever you have you should have a chance to check them out in some form in the next year.
Personally, I've been itching to rewatch the series, but I think I'll take TM2YC's idea and watch a fanedit whenever possible just to give a new experience. I've done a few edits to different films so I'll definitely be watching those and a few of the ones suggested sound interesting and will be on my radar.
TM2YC, are you planning to do a review series for each film as you watch through as I'm considering doing as much and don't want to step on anyone's toes.

Last I checked, a majority are on Hulu. All of the pre Craig movies I believe. Maybe it's missing a couple Brosnan movies too, but I don't recall. I no longer have Hulu so I can't check it right now. None are on Netflix, or have been on there in years, at least in the US. Iirc Scrib is in the UK, so I have no idea if they're on Hulu or Netflix over there. None are included with Amazon Prime, but again, I don't know if it's different regionally.
So basically, I can't help.
Mega Man is best game.
