I know I'm in the minority, but I actually liked markdown, but that's probably just because A)I was used to it and I'm not much of a forum person anymore. Even here I read much more than I post.(Probably not a permanent thing I'm still reading and I'm sure I'll start posting more eventually) so that was all I knew and 
B)I always post from my phone and it's easier to just keep typing than to hit buttons and I have markdown memorized more than html. 

I concur about missing marksdown though, and I'm glad to see you here even if I don't post as much as I used to on OT. (Which again is because of me, not the site. I probably wouldn't be posting as much on ot either if I was still allowed over there. Lol)
