For me, what I would consider the best edits are the ones that become my go-to version of that movie. The edits I return to often and watch again and again, instead of the official version.
When I look at my collection, the edits that meet that criteria are, more often than not, edited by
@TM2YC . LOL There have been many fine edits through the years that I have enjoyed watching. But when it comes to the edits that have outright permanently replaced the original version for me, they are:
-Star Trek: Vengeance
-Man of Steel: A Symbol of Hope
-Star Wars Rogue One: Where Rebels Dare
-Star Trek: Reunion
-Ghostbusters III
-THX-1138: The Hybrid Cut
-Love & Mercy: The Brian Wilson Sessions
All, coincidently, edited by
@TM2YC . I mean, seriously! What a body of work. No need to ever watch the original versions of any of those films again!
-Skyfall: Reborn and Casino Royale: The Big Picture by
@Problem Eliminator would definitely fit into this category for me too.
-007: The Series by
@DigModiFicaTion
-SPECTRE: The LS Cut by
@LastSurvivor
-The Shadow Knows by
@lapis molari
-Dune: Deluxe Edition and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull: Recut by
@15MaF
-And most recently, The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Edits by
@Stromboli Bones
Nope, never have to sit through the originals ever again.
Which reminds me, now that I can leave reviews, I need to leave a nice review for all of these soon.
